Grameen Academy welcomes applications from experienced practitioners interested in joining us as full-time or part-time faculty. We are particularly keen to engage individuals with strong field experience in agroecology, organic and natural farming, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), rural livelihoods, and rural enterprises, who also have a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Interested candidates may apply by sharing:
• A brief profile or CV highlighting field experience and areas of expertise
• A short statement of interest explaining why you would like to teach and mentor at Grameen Academy
• Your preferred mode of engagement (full-time or part-time) and availability
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interaction to explore mutual expectations, teaching interests, and mentoring roles. Faculty at Grameen Academy are expected to embody a balance of practice, perspective, and pedagogy. The following principles guide faculty engagement:
1. Strong Practice Orientation Faculty should have substantial hands-on experience in their domain. Teaching at Grameen Academy is grounded in lived practice, not theory alone.
2. Deep Understanding of Rural Realities Faculty must demonstrate a nuanced understanding of rural livelihoods, agrarian systems, institutional challenges, and socio-economic contexts, informed by direct engagement with farming and rural communities.
3. Domain Specialisation Faculty are expected to have depth in at least one core area—such as agroecology, organic and natural farming, FPOs, rural enterprises, or livelihoods—while appreciating interdisciplinary linkages.
4. Commitment to Teaching and Mentoring Faculty should possess the ability and willingness to facilitate learning, mentor learners, and support their professional growth through participatory, field-based, and reflective teaching methods.
5. Learner-Centric Approach Faculty are expected to create inclusive, respectful learning environments that encourage critical thinking, dialogue, and practical problem-solving.
6. Ethical and Values-Based Practice Faculty should align with Grameen Academy’s commitment to sustainability, equity, and social responsibility, and model these values in both practice and teaching.
7. Continuous Learning Faculty are encouraged to remain active learners—updating their practice, refining teaching methods, and engaging with evolving rural realities.

You can start by contributing to the existing courses and programmes at Grameen Academy. This initial engagement helps you understand our learners, learning processes, field immersion approach, and institutional ethos, while allowing you to bring in your own practice-based insights.
As you gain familiarity and demonstrate teaching and mentoring effectiveness, you may take on expanded roles—co-facilitating modules, leading sessions, or mentoring learner projects within ongoing programmes.
Over time, faculty are encouraged to conceptualise, design, and offer their own courses or electives, grounded in their domain specialisation and field experience. The Academy provides academic and pedagogical support to ensure that all courses are rigorous, relevant, and closely aligned with rural realities.
This progression enables faculty to grow organically—from contributors to course designers—while strengthening Grameen Academy’s practice-led learning ecosystem. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet.
